Brilliantly written and illustrated. Just the right amount of snark to perk my caffeine starved brain cells this morning. With behind-the-scenes AND historical facts? I feel like when used to get dvds with the director’s cut so I could listen to the commentary track! Thank you!
First printed isn't the same as first recited. Some rhymes have probably been around for centuries in one form or another. Heck, it's been almost a century since I used to recite skipping-rope rhymes like "Tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor", when none of us had any clue what a tinker was.
It’s more now! I just looked it up, he’s got YouTube on it and more publishing. I love this! He not only wrote it but the illustrations are his as well. We learn what to do with our creativity when times demand it.
Don’t cut back. Grow more.
Make it your own and do what he did. He started a little book, fit a few dollars originally, and it sold like wildfire. It’s not only because he is who he is. It’s because people are thirsty for reality. Satiring it, as we know from Monty Python, is both therapy and blade.
Thank you for sharing about your processes. Even though my art process uses a different medium there are similitarities in how it unfolds. For writing, I have notebooks in various locations so I can capture ideas. It's fun to just read through them occasionally. I am not sure why I don't record ideas/thoughts using audio. I used to have fun as a kid using my cassette recorder.
I love the acronyms. I was laughing after the 4th word in 😄. There is much variety here. I enjoyed each part. I like seeing the art process. I don't understand completely what I am looking at but it amazes me. It's a process I don't really know anything about. I can tell that there are a lot of steps and stages though. I am curious about your writing process- do you have a any certain way you approach your writing? Does the writing come first?
Oh the videos? It’s a Timelapse of me drawing in the app Procreate (pretty much all I use). As for writing, I have a lot of shower thoughts, I actually got a waterproof paper and pencil pad in the shower where I write down ideas (which is hilarious because I’m blind as a bat without my glasses on, add in soap in your eyes and I’ve written some crazy stuff). I keep my phone on quick voice record and as ideas hit me, I get them recorded quickly (which is hell having to listen to my voice, I don’t know anyone that likes their voice!).
Basically I’m a big believer in that I got this little idea and if I don’t capture it and put it down on paper, it’ll go to someone else and see if they’ll pick it up. Then I write a terrible draft (kinda like this comment, stream of consciousness and also I’ve had some gummies so god knows how this is going to turn out), send it to heather, she is sorta like the holder of the string connected to the helium balloon (me) to make sure things make sense.
For the summer I’m going to try shorter form (for my sanity, we have a LOT going on this summer) and going to write short satire - so I basically walk around recording myself all day long.

Wait… what’s a tinker???
Well duh. It's someone who tinkers. (wink) We don't have travelling tinkers these days. Too bad, really.
Oh haha!
Now we know! :D Thanks!

Ovular sovereign! Werewokes!
FTR, BB Black sheep and 3B Mice are equally DEI. They both gotta go. Also, Little Boy is Blue by choice.
