“Get thee to a nunnery!”

I’ll let others speculate on context.

I think you should share additional tales of Thigpen genetic greatness. Preferably prior to the Alabama de… umm… evolution?

For those who haven’t stumbled upon the series, “Mistress in the Art of Death.” Ariana Franklin.

Sadly the author died tragically young, as her character was clearly destined for more practical brilliance. Still one of my favorite story lines.

In looking up the series I’ve just found that someone has stepped in to complete her fifth manuscript… 😃.

I bring this up because of your comment on thinking frequently about death (Wanker!)

I want to comeback and haunt people in wal mart parking lots at night for eternity

🤣🤣🤣 There are so many branches you could take that schtick. A good 40% wouldn’t even notice anything out of the ordinary.

“Don’t look at him kids… it’s just one of them translucent hobos! If you make eye contact they’ll want yer corn dog.”

Yeah I love discussing death. Not afterlife just the moments of last bit of being human then not. It’s sooooo fascinating to me and forces me to look at being present.

And yes I have some other ideas for Thigpen / Claypool lineages

Hmmm… I have a total lack of fascination with the transition. Too much of a fatalist, perhaps? My biggest want is to o quick and not end up as a haunt (“haint”?) somewhere. The terror of being stuck in a quiescent ethereal middle land - BORING!

Your storytelling is a hilarious blend of fact, folklore, and personal musings! I loved the creativity in imagining Hilda as a badass nun. The humour and reflections on mortality add depth, making this not just so funny.

I told a lot of tall tales growing up. I guess I didn’t outgrow it. Humor has always been near and dear to me. So this means a lot, Jon.

My wife and I were editing next week’s post last night. The first few drafts are always really tough to land the humor but it’s fun!

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. It means a lot

Memento Mori also happens to be the name of a very good episode of The X-Files. Just a random fact I thought you might appreciate.

Omg omg this is so funny and cute and clever Thig! I love it! And Nuns battling snakes? I sense a comic book in this! Please 🙏🏻? There is an old family rumor on my Italian side that says we are related to Caesar Octavian, who became Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus, better known as Julius Ceasar. Bow down Peasants! Oh and I 💯 agree with you about billionaires.
